Fundi Wa Nguo Bora (best tailor) and Confidant
John
Our founder, Meg's, longtime friend in Kenya. They met when Meg went to John's shop to have a few lasso's sewn (African Kanga skirts). He picked up on her attempts to speak Kiswahili and in exchange, kindly corrected her Kiswahili and gave her Swahili learning books. He quickly became a close friend that she could confide in about her vision, and he gave honest feedback about which aspects would and wouldn't work. He will help in making reusable pads to provide the hospital and anyone who comes by in need.

Who We Are
Striving for health equity in Western Kenya.

Founder & Director
Meg
Meg is a pediatric oncology nurse currently living in Colorado. She enjoys all things outdoors, like hiking & camping. Meg fell in love with Kenya, and it's beautiful people, in 2018 & has worked towards building this foundation ever since. One of Meg's favorite thing to do while in Kenya is to watch the sunset while eating her favorite Kenyan dish, Githeri, with a fresh avocado. Meg oversees the fundraising in the US, ensures financial transparency and adherence to Haki Health's mission, values and vision.

Program Director- Kenya
Rosebella
Rosebella is the loving mom of young Temarioh, one of the first burn patients Meg helped care for at Masaba. The daughter of a now-retired teacher, she is gifted with unparalleled patience and loyalty. She will help enroll patients in our sponsorship program and assist with assessing costs of transportation, nutrition during treatment, and bookkeeping. When patients require home treatment, such as dressing changes, she may assist with these cares and ensure the family understands and follows discharge instructions.

Masaba Hospital Directors
Eunice, Esther and Beatrice
I am so proud to work with Masaba Hospital, an entirely women-ran medical facility. Eunice's parents founded the hospital, as her father was a physician and her mother a nurse, and when they sadly passed, Eunice stepped up. Prior to her role as CEO of Masaba, she studied in the US and worked in banking. She is a go-getter, straight- shooter and now amazing friend we are lucky enough to partner with.

Esther is the kindest, most generous follower of Jesus who wouldn't think twice about opening her heart and home to anyone in need. She is passionate about caring for her community and Kenyan children. Esther is incredibly hardworking and dedicated to the mission of Masaba Hospital as well as Hali Health. She will be spearheading our sector responsible for making sanitary pads more accessible and distributing them.

Beatrice is the savviest, brightest businesswoman I know. She makes sure our goals make sense, logistically, and helps calculate cost estimates. As a mother herself, she cares deeply about the MCH clinic, maternity and child health clinic where women come for perinatal care and bring their children for well child exams and vaccines. This is where we will be implementing our pediatric cancer screenings.

Development Director
Sabrina
Sabrina is an Occupational Therapy student at Colorado State University. Driven by a passion for rehabilitation and fueled by diverse experiences, Sabrina joins our team as Development Director. Her journey has spanned across public health, emergency medical care, occupational therapy, and even Alaskan wilderness exploration. Sabrina visited Kenya in 2022 and was immediately hooked by the love and kindness she was welcomed with, inspiring her dedication to amplify the growth of this foundation.
